Welcome to the Herzl Memorial Park burial database!

Herzl Memorial Park, located just north of Seattle in Shoreline, Washington, is joining the Jewish Genealogical Society of Washington State and the Washington State Jewish Historical Society to be part of the JewishGen Online Worldwide Burial Registry (JOWBR). JOWBR helps Jews throughout the world trace and obtain information on their ancestors, wherever they may be buried.

The burial database is maintained by both the Herzl-Ner Tamid Conservative Congregation (HNT) main office and by volunteers. The office maintains official records of the deceased's names, burial locations, and plot sizes, while all other extended information is researched and incorporated from other records and from headstone information by volunteers.

In the future, after the volunteer staff adds available record and headstone information to the database, family and friends of the deceased will be invited to submit additional information, keyed to the database entries, to help complete each record as much as possible. Announcements about burial database updates, and when information on the deceased can begin to be submitted, will be included here and in Herzl-Ner Tamid's HaKol and e-Kol newsletters.

If you see errors in the data shown, have suggestions for the website, or are willing to volunteer to periodically help translate Hebrew information from headstone photographs into English, please e-mail the volunteer Herzl Memorial Park database staff at HmpDB@h-nt.org. Be sure to include your name and contact information.

In addition to Herzl Memorial Park, other Jewish cemeteries in Washington State have or will be joining the worldwide JOWBR registry. For information on burials at those other state cemeteries, please click here.
