This annual event at Herzl-Ner Tamid honors the memory and last wish of Ellen Yusim z”l, a teenager and congregant whose family’s resettlement from the Former Soviet Union was sponsored by our synagogue. It also honors the memory of our other loved ones whose lives have been impacted by blood-related diseases. Every day it takes more than 800 donors to meet the transfusion needs of Western Washington. Many of our congregants have been the fortunate recipients of the gift of blood. This year our goal is to have 50 donors register to donate blood. If you are over the age of 16 and weigh more than 100 pounds, you may qualify. We need you!
